The architecture of the Nordic region is characterized by sensitivity to natural forces and attentiveness to materiality. I studied the formal, tectonic, and material assemblies of the works of Alvar Aalto, Sverre Fehn, Sigurd Lewerentz, Jørn Utzon, as well as other architects. Through analysis and drawing composition, I have produced a catalog of analytical drawings that convey the atmosphere, character, and materiality of the architecture of the Nordic built environment. Different drawing conventions were explored such as collage, hand drawing, and digital media.
